PRM (Passport Reader Multireader): High-end desktop ePassport reader

Passport Reader Multireader - PRM is a full-page desktop document reader with integrated RFID reader, making him an ideal choice for the new generation ePassport handling.

The device takes high resolution (up to 3 MegaPixels) pictures of different types of personal documents (passport, identity card, etc.) using three important illuminations: white light, infra-red, ultra-violet.

Passport Reader Multirerader device captures images, reads the MRZ lines (training other zones are optional), reads RFID tag printed inside the Passport, and transfers the data as an information package to the data processing information system within seconds.

The PRM is very easy to operate. No special training is required: Passport Reader Multireader automatically reads the data from the document:
· it reads OCR lines (characters for optical recognition), barcodes (1D&2D) and printed characters (figures, letters),
· read the RFID chip content
· it transforms these data into computer understandable format (ASCII).

This Passport Reader is a perfect tool for document verification. It verifies the documents semi-automatically:
· Basic Access Control, MRZ checksum verification, Passive and Active authentication functions included,
· on the captured images it is possible to zoom to check even the smallest security feytures, and
· the user can check the authenticity of security elements by comparing the differently lit images.
